Education:
Education in the church, while neglected in some congregations, is essential to the life and health of the church. Education is fundamentally one of the ways we can come to better know God. Whether the topic is Scripture, Social issues, or Science (which from the Christian point of view is learning about, and trying to better understand the universe God created; an extraordinarily faithful endeavor) whether the classroom participants are Sunday school aged children, adults or seniors education is a fundamental part of the Christian life; the life spent learning to serve and know God.
The educational program at St. John is a three pronged affair, with emphases in Sunday school for elementary and Jr. High school youth, Confirmation, for Jr. High school youth, and Adult education for those who could be described as "adult."
